If, rather than through a personal recommendation, you have discovered us on the internet for instance, then it is best to forget everything you have ever thought about so-called hotel chains. Think instead about the original meaning of the French word "hôtel". These were townhouses that exemplified the unique character of their owners and whose portals stood open for their guests.
